MEMOIRS OF WEAVEININDIA

BLOGGER COLLABORATIONS

It was a beautiful and very fulfilling experience to style the look for WeaveinIndia. They take crafting by hand to a magical level, evoke a feeling of Indianness and national pride of our rich heritage and culture.

I consider myself a purist when it comes to working in my styling projects. I believe in minimalism, keeping the looks simple and clean so that it doesn't overpower the clothes I'm wearing. As I am wearing a luxurious, handwoven kadhua benarasi with all over jaal, embellished blouse and bandhani dupatta, so I went with dewy makeup, wispy bun, and a tiny bindi to offset the rich sari. A dual tone silver jhumka with green enamel to lend an element of contrast to the orange and pink sari and an oversized silver ring were my choice of accessories.

Since, I'm based in Ahmedabad and truly believe that backdrop plays a crucial role in putting together a complete, wholesome look, so I decided to shoot it in the bylanes of the Old city to capture the true essence of the city.

WeaveinIndia is a magical place! Every piece there is a beauty on its own and it was the best experience styling their pieces. I love the styles they bring in with the utmost simplicity. I'm a person who loves colours and I played around with the same in all my looks. I looked to create youthful elegant looks with a touch of drama, hence gave attention to accessorizing the looks well! The fits and movement the outfits had were just perfect and they helped me to create a lil magic of my own.
