A Modern-day classic, this Light-Weight Benarasi Silk Saree is decorated with the timeless Shikargah motifs throughout the body. The Kadhuwa weave piece comes in an elegant onion pink colour with two-toned Zari work.
Shikargah is a pattern depicting the hunting scene evolved from the Medieval paintings and crafts, it’s a fine balance between positive and negative spaces placed evenly in the saree to give full coverage. While the roots of it formed in Persia, it continued to evolve in Northern parts of India while still keeping the tradition alive. An authentic Shikargah piece can take up to 4 months to weave. To the present day it’s an heirloom pride for Indian women.
